Stephen Boakye-Yiadom (1944 - 2007), Ghana, was the International Director of Trans World Radio (TWR) of Africa. He was called home on 2 June 2007. In Germany he heard Trans World Radio programs, through his was called to become a missionary for Africa, his home continent. Stephen served TWR faithfully since September 1975 when he joined TWR’s German partner, ERF, as an intern. In 1976, he went to Nairobi, Kenya, as a missionary to establish a new office and production center in the country. Within a few years, he was appointed as TWR’s General Secretary for Africa, and in 1992 was elected to direct TWR’s Africa region from Johannesburg, South Africa. During his years of leadership he was able to extend the programs of the Gospel of Trans World Radio for Africa to 65 languages and dialects, which were heard in 40 African countries, for many hearer it was for them a message of encouragement and change of life.
