SEALINK is a network for work amongst the Unreached People Groups of South-east Asia.
Its purpose is to connect the Body of Christ (people, churches and organizations) and resources to serve and reach the Southeast Asia UPGs more effectively.
The eleven countries of South-East-Asia are a myriad of Peoples and include over 800 “unreached/unevangelized people groups” (UPG). These are people / ethnic groups that have less than 2% evangelical Christians amongst them. Almost 500 of these 800 UPGs are groups with more than 10,000 people. Just over 200 of them have at least 100,000 people. BUT, in most of the South East Asian countries, the dominant/majority people-group are also largely unevangelized (e.g. the Bamar in Myanmar, the Lao in Laos, the Thai in Thailand, the Malays in Malaysia, etc.).
SEALINK is a Relationship & Networking Forum seeking to serve :
- People Groups (UPG) in South East Asia.
- Country/National, Regional or People Group Networks
- Believers/Leaders who share a passion to serve SEAsia UPGs
SEALINK Consultations are held in a different South East Asian country each year – Singapore in 2002, Malaysia in 2003, Philippines in 2004, and in 2006 SEALINK hosted the Global Unreached Peoples Consultation called ETHNE’06 Ethne. SEALINK 2007 will be held in Pattaya/Thailand so that leaders from Mainland South East Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos & Myanmar) will find it more convenient to attend. The meeting is for missions, church and organisation leaders working with the Unreached People Groups of South-east Asia, or looking to work with them. Topics: Orality, Sports Evangelism, Church-Planting-Movement, Reaching Youth, Children in Crisis, Trends, Member Care, Cults and others. Info: e-mail sealink2007@gmail.com, Sealink.
SEALINK Core Value: Living by the principle of “Submit yourselves to one another out of reverence for Christ.” (Eph. 5.21) This core value is worked out by making decisions through consensus and giving all participants equal standing and equal voice in all interactions.
