• There is a need for reconciliation between Tutsi and Hutu and for peace after centuries of oppression and killings, pain and hatred. Thousands of spiritual leaders were murdered; for example, all 60 of Rwanda's Student Bible study leaders. May this dark cloud be lifted.

• Revival in the 1950s brought blessing and great church growth, but a generation later the land has been devastated. The Church is the only institution where reconciliation could begin.

• Pray for all involved in reconciliation, counselling, discipling and training ministries. Bible schools and seminaries are seeking to regain lost ground in providing leaders for the future. Pray that God may raise up men and women of God fitted for Rwanda’s hour of need. Pray also for protection for church leaders from extremists who still want to promote tribalism and fuel ethnic hatreds.
