The international community is waging a war on terror. Simultaneously, Christian intercessors are needed to wage “spiritual battle” in prayer against terrorism worldwide and religious groups that suppress Christianity in the 10/40 Window.
Praying Through The Window 9 (PTTW 9) of WINDOW INTERNATIONAL NETWORK (WIN) is a two-year campaign that began October 1, 2007. Its focus is on Global Terrorism and World Religions as well as lawless regimes in the 10/40 Window.
Since terrorism and world religions are formidable forces in the 10/40 Window, WINDOW INTERNATIONAL NETWORK believes it’s time that the Body of Christ deals with these issues head on by bringing informed prayers, intercession and supplications before the Lord to tear down these spiritual strongholds that are holding these precious people in bondage and leading them to a Christless eternity.

Christians worldwide can no longer afford to be apathetic in their attitude towards the plight of persecuted Christians and innocent civilians in the 10/40 Window.
In many cases the terrorist attacks by radical Hindus on Christians in India, the genocide of defenseless Muslims in the Darfur region of western Sudan by the government sanctioned Janjaweed, and the senseless killings and harassment of Christians in Sri Lanka by the Tamil Tigers go unnoticed by the majority of the Christian world. The minimal response by the Body of Christ to these atrocities breaks the Father’s heart because we are not doing our part by crying out to Him on their behalf.
[edit] PTTW 9 concentrates on global terrorism and world religions
PTTW 9 concentrates on global terrorism, defined as "violence against non-combatants", and how this demonically orchestrated violence destabilizes these countries, causing famine, lawlessness and corruption. This strategic prayer initiative is also designed to bring awareness to the various world religions in the 10/40 Window and how the forces of darkness use religious ideologies to impede the spread of the Gospel.
For example, more than 200,000 people have been killed in Sudan’s Darfur region and more than 2 million others have been displaced due to fighting between government forces, allied Janjaweed militias and rebel groups since 2003, UPI reported. The Janjaweed has gained notoriety for its attacks against civilians. Sudan is ranked No. 20 in Open Doors 2007 “World Watch List” (WWL) of nations that persecute Christians the worst. PTTW 9 also chronicles the impact of the world religions in the 10/40 Window and how these forces of darkness are trying to use religious ideologies to hinder the spread of the Gospel.
