[edit] Johann Philipp Fabricius
Born 22.1.1711 in Hessen/Germany, died 23.1.1791 in Trankebar East coast of India, Bible translator and missionary of the Tamil mission at Tranquebar. After he read the reports of the Danisch-Halle Mission he studied theology and was sent to Trankebar. He translated the Bible in Tamil, which was started by Bartholomaeus Ziegenbalg. He also published a Tamil and English dictionary, which is still in print, after it was up-dated.
