[edit] Henan Province

[edit] Location

  • With nearly 100 million people, Henan is the most populous province of China by residency. It borders Hebei to the north, Shandong to the northeast, Anhui to the southeast, Hubei to the south, Shaanxi to the west, and Shanxi to the northwest. Just under 99% of Henan's population is Han Chinese, while Hui account for virtually all the remaining 1%.

[edit] The growth of the Church

  • Mao’s disastrous policies caused over 8 million Henanese to die of famine. Henan was declared an ‘Atheistic Zone’ in the 1960s, but today Communist officials complain of it as a ‘Jesus Nest’ suffering from ‘Christianity fever’! Praise God for the spectacular growth of the Church. Revival began during the Cultural Revolution with mass conversions, miracles and vision for evangelizing China. Some counties are reported to be largely or completely Christian today. Praise God!
