• The challenges faced by the churches:
• Due to the economic situation, many pastors have to work at a second job to support themselves. Pastoral ‘burn-out’ is a problem.
• Almost the entire population is God-fearing and open to spiritual things, yet there is much complacency and moral laxness. Over 75% of children are born out of wedlock despite their parents’ profession of Christianity. Formerly, slave owners forbade their slaves from marrying which caused a distortion of moral, and Scriptural principles. Pray for this curse of slavery to be broken, a right understanding of Scriptural principles to be gained, and a spirit of repentance be given to all.
