• Many governments conduct regular censuses which ask for the religion of the respondents. In more open countries, public opinion polls are similarly conducted on a regular basis. In some situations, respondents may not wish to respond to these questions. Some people have heard a Christian radio program, read books, seen a film or videos, or listening to cassettes. They have coverted, but there is no church in their area. Such believers have been termed "secret believers," the "underground church," or "Crypto-Christians."
