• Church growth is the process by which churches add members; it can also refer to the study of these processes. Churches grow in two ways: through demographic births and through conversions. Churches can also decline in two ways: through deaths of their members and through defections either via conversion to other religions or to backsliding and nominalism.

• The church growth movement was notable in its study of church growth processes; a key figure in this movement was Donald McGavran.

• Estonia’s church growth in the 1990s was due in large part to Finnish Christians. But the early boom is over. Now there is a need for long-term workers to help disciple the new churches
