China is ruled from Beijing. Pray for the leaders of the nation — for wisdom, humanity, seeking of the good of the people rather than self-interest, and courage to make the long-delayed economic and political decisions essential for the future.
The Olympics, in China this summer, will shine a particularly bright light on Beijing. Both politicaly and spiritualy Beijing will be in the spotlight. Numerous Christian groups are planning short term outreaches, pray for effectiveness but also for safety and wisdom. The danger of compromising the security of national believers and long term Christian workers is very real. Pray that long term work wouldn't be negatively effected by events surrounding the Olympics.
