Baha'i came out of a Shi'ite sect of Islam. Baha'is believe in a later divine revelation than the Quran and as a result have suffered significant persecution in Iran.

Baha'is teach the unity of the human race, the belief that all religions share a common origin, all should be regarded as messengers of the truth, a harmonious world should be sought, and the equality of men and women.
