The continent of Asia is considered to start at about Turkey and Saudi Arabia and move east. Although Russia as a whole is usually counted as part of Eastern Europe, it is widely acknowledged that Russia has a European and an Asian character, and the dividing line is typically drawn at the Ural mountains.
Asia is by far the most populous continent in the world, since it is home to both China and India.

It is home to most of the world's religions, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Shintoism as well as the huge numbers of smaller Chinese and other Asian religions.
